Cemetery Thoughts(Buried Alive)A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
The
ground was never too hard To dig
a grave That
can bury the past, But
this tombstone Will
be a reminder That
assuming will always Lie to
my soul. A six-foot
hole Will
never be big enough To
hold the promises Of an
eternal life That
the reaper said existed At the
tip of his sickle. Then the
undertaker Distracted
me with fairytales Of life
from the other side of the world As Grim
struck the final blow. Now a
casket becomes My home
sweet home, And I
a stranger In a
strange cemetery. © 2017 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
