You try connecting the dots

Only to find

That they crisscross

To make an ugly sweater

Knitted by your next of kin.

D.N.A. stands for

Don’t Need Anyone

When standing in the middle

Of a domestic circus.

Veins begin to break like a dam

When bloodlines

Come rushing through locked doors,

Flooding the house,

Leaving you high and dry

In the eye of a family storm.

i have had many of those with a sibling...and blood right now is not thicker than water...
the blood lies thin.

and as elton sang "love lies bleeding in my hand"
