chapter 4A Chapter by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)While my stay at the rehab center I had four roommates in those three months. During that time I eventually lost my sense of taste and smell. I had figured it was because my nose was stuffed because they wouldn’t let have nose spray, not even saline solution to help clear my sinuses. Also I started sleeping a lot because I felt tired. since I was just lying in bed I figured I was just bored. Then one day we were informed that we were going to be tested for covid. After I took it I prayed so hard that it would come back negative, which it didn’t. After I was informed I had it the only thing that went through my mind was.”I’m going to die here.” The whole time O was in there I ad trouble sleeping due to the uncomfortable beds and all the noises. But now I had another reason. I was afraid if I fell asleep I wouldn’t wake up. After I tested positive my world got smaller. I wasn’t able to leave the room. Therapist came in and I got little therapy sitting on the bed. I also wasn’t allowed to shower. A nurse gave me a sponge bath every four days. It got to the point where my mental health was in jeopardy. I continually sat on the edge of the bed and just stared outside, watching the passing cars. Then one day while I was staring outside I heard a woman shout, “Dale.” I turned my head around and replied, “What?” That nurse said the sweetest thing I ever heard in my life. “You’re going home tomorrow.” chapter 5 © 2025 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) |
