The Widow Camile Whitmoore

The Widow Camile Whitmoore

A Chapter by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Camille woke up feeling hungover due to the hardest talk she’s ever had with her son. She told him His dad is in heaven because God needed another Soldier for good. But he’ll be watching over him whatever he does, and he'd better be good.

Her husband had been a very strict person since they got married. He was a loose, fun guy When they met. But she knew he had a good heart and just wanted to protect their family. She was stricken with guilt over the last time she saw him alive Ignoring his request for Cassandra to stay home, but she wanted her daughter to have as much fun as she could before venturing into the adult world and dealing with many responsibilities. She finally drifted off to sleep with her son lying next to her, snoring, after having a good cry.

She was so grateful that Emily allowed them to stay the night. and was letting them stay at her place until things calmed down. She was also grateful that it was Sunday. That gave her time to spend quality time with her son when they both needed it most.

And determine how she wanted to handle him going back to school.

Something jolted her awake. She quickly sat up. She looked over and saw her son was still asleep.

Just then, something occurred to her. Her daughter. Did she ever come home? She forgot to call her, or leave a note on the front door explaining what happened. She couldn’t imagine the horror of her daughter walking in and finding a blood stain in the entryway.

She got up slowly. She heard her son mumble. When she turned around, she saw him turning over. She journeyed into the bathroom, pulled other cell, and called her daughter. It went to voicemail.

“Cassandra, honey. When you get this, please call me ASAP. Something has happened, and I don’t want to tell you in a message.”

She walked out of the bathroom and walked quickly down the hallway. As she passed the table, a card lying on it caught her eye. She stopped and picked it up and saw it was Jake Stone’s name on it.

She slipped it into her sweatpants pocket, and walked out of the house. She briskly walked to her house. There was a yellow tape across it indicating it was a crime scene, and warning them not to enter. That was good and bad news for Camille. Good because that meant her daughter didn’t walk in and see the blood- drenched carpet. Bad, because it meant she never came home.

She called her again. It went to voicemail. She hung up without leaving a message. Her legs were beginning to feel shaky. So she sat on the concrete and began to cry.
