tragedy aftermath part 2

Once Sally got home, she nuked a frozen spaghetti dinner, but only ate a few bites before deciding to dump it in the trash. She felt retched knowing a kid killed himself after they questioned him. Now, more than ever, the world didn’t make sense. This tragedy was another great reason to retire before her soul was nothing but a pile of ashes that no Phoenix can rise from. She took two shots of vodka before calling it a disastrous night.

When she awoke, she felt emptier and lonelier then ever. She had to will herself out of bed and into the shower. While the water was running down her body, she had to brace herself against a wall a couple of times because her legs felt shaky. She figured that was a combination of guilt and a lack of food in her system.

On the way to the station, she decided to stop at Domino's Pizza and get a medium meat lover's pizza. Because no matter how bad either of them felt, they still had a job to do, and most importantly, the energy to do it.
