that you throw away

when it doesn’t suit your mood.

sympathy is not the latest craze

that you only try on

when it makes you look good

to those individuals you admire.

empathy is not a hip new thing

you decide to try

to look cool in the eyes

you respect, in order to accept you.

For humanity never goes out of style,

Some hearts just have ni fashion sense.
