My view on a proposition that passed yesterday in my state.
You know many say that yesterday America took a big step forward on an historic election day and I agree.Unfortunately California the state I call home took two steps back.
On our ballot was proposition 8 which was to make same sex marriage illegal again.I in my naïve wisdom really thought we were past this type of prejudice because to my surprise the measure passed.
Now I know many say that it hurt the sanctity of marriage.I am sorry but if you feel your marriage is less because to people of the same sex can do it then you don’t get the real meaning behind the institution.Your marriage should be about you and your significant other end of story and not who else is legalized to do it.To tell the truth there are worse kinds of marriages that taint the institution like those who marry to stay in the country…love should not have boundaries.
If I was still married or get married again it would have still meant the same to me for love is all that matters.
Yeap America might have taken a step forward but California sure took two steps back in my opinion.
Before anyone asked no I am not Gay but my brother is and I know many wonderful people who are. We need to get past prejudice whether it be race color religion or sexual orientation and realize we are all human and bleed red.

this is very nice writing ,how it made thought a lot,oh yes we can never judge others to their color or their believes
we need to accept them more and more,we need to love them even more,so much hatred i see everywhere
that i am ready to accept all kinds all believes just to add if a little more love, its enough, the world has gone through a lot
it needs more understanding ,forgiving,it needs more peace more love ,never discrimination how ugly it is
to tell someone you do not belong ,who are we to judge..
in my Arab society like in my country we are mostly white and some tanned skin, but we have dark people from other Arab countries their origin go back to Africa ,i never one day
thought of them as different so as every body else ,i really wonder when i hear these things ,its the person and how he behaves and how smart and how much good he adds to society this is what counts here, and this is how it should be,i liked this writing a lot as i like any writing that calls for love and understanding
among all humans, how beautiful the world will look if we see that for real one day,its like a dream and i like to dream, wonderful
Dale I agree with you. NY doesn't allow gay marriage, but they allow domestic union. We have the rights of a mrried couple, share insurance, allow to adopt and such. Yes marriage is about love and wanting to share your life with that special someone. Who had the right to marry should have nothing to do with it. I personally wouldn't marry someone of the same sex, but i certainly wouldn't think it's wrong for those who want to.
People are so narrow minded, what they don't understand, what they don't know about, what they see as stereotype clouds their opinions and spreads ignorance. WE got to learn to live and let live. Life is just to f*****g short to worry about who's loving who. Lets work on why who is killing who.
Dale,I for one have never understood why there is things such as discrimination between people. You are right we all bleed red. and have you ever thought of this, I have many many times. Why do people who are so against the color of a persons skin, try to change theirs. For example, white people will lay for hours in the sun or a tanning booth, and I have seen some who are almost as dark as the ones they discriminate against. And the marriage thing. I would not marry someone of the same sex BUT I would not tell someone else they couldn't either because I wouldn't. I may get a lot of heat for what I am about to say but I don't care. We have to stand up for what we bellieve in. My daughter married a colored man. She has three children, who take a lot of heat and name calling. But they are wonderful children. Very obedient, and loving. There is no reason for the way they are sometimes treated. I did not forbide her to marry this man because this is who she loved, it was her choice to make not mine. So many laws have been passed for personal reasons. It is wrong. But it is another step that will have to taken, another dream that will have to be fulfilled. We have come a long way as a nation as a people but we have a long way to go.
The thing is that the state doesn't allow this for they see it as decadent. It is sad for the interest of a person should be higher than the interest of a state. The society is a myth. When you show people good life, you show them easy life and then you try to take it away. CA overturned it...well on the other side, I think it's ludicrous, why do they want recognition? I don't care what people do - IN THEIR PRIVATE LIFES but I don't see why children and young people should be allowed to see this becoming entertainment and fashion. I don't see why it's necessary. This Judea Christian religion which is a sort of banner of our supposed civilisation, most normal people don't want recognition, when they go married. If they legitimize homosexual marriage to the extend that it becomes virtually heroic being homosexual then these homosexuals have the licence to try to influence the children. Its openness will be perfectly acceptable i.e. for teachers to influence children. The rights of children are not to have to tolerate the propaganda of homosexuality. If something like that becomes legitimated then their extravagance becomes legitimated and so their propaganda and extraversion becomes legitimate and I don't want this for children. They can't keep their private life to themselves and they have to expose their difference, it's in their nature. I would not want this constant exposure of their affectation and for that reason I am opponent. I am not interested into their justifications; the only thing that really pisses me off is their obnoxious behaviour. I don't want children expose to this in scout clubs, schools, church. This is about attention seeking not about genes in my opinion. Take a pop star like George Michael and the others who is the bloody freak Gary Glitter - they thrown him out of Asia homosexual childrens abuser... why would you encourage this, ...why can't they just keep quiet? I accept them as long as they just keep quiet; keep their consent and their preferences to themselves. When they start pulling their trousers down and dancing in the streets and generally performing, showing off - thats not OK. All of this homosexuality is a socio-economic distortion, which is l based on wealth. In a poor society it would not be tolerated. Just another distortion, these people even expect if you legitimize their marriage, then they want to adopt children. Who has got the right to condemn children to such a distorted upbringing? They want it all, to be school teachers, they want to behave sexually in public, they can't help themselves, and they want to dress up. They want to advertise, to influence...and that is what I object to. The private life of consenting adults are their own business, but they can't keep it their own business; they want to trawl in publics around public toilets, in parks. Heterosexual people are the normality of human existence (statistically) to at least two or three standard deviations, obviously variations within that. Homosexuality statistically is in. It is actually becoming fashionable but I still maintain that parents have right their children not to expose to it. That's why I get hostile. Society learnt chaotically they find it very difficult to temper their behaviours. So you end up with these reacionary forces.
