I loved this poem. Had such a sweet message; sometimes blind people can "see" more, because they are only allowed the senses such as sense of touch and smell, etc so they are one with their surroundings more than one who can see. I agree, many times when I was in nature, it brought back memories of childhood and others times in my life, and closing my eyes I felt one with what was around me, and how beautiful it was. THANK YOU for this poem.
I must say your writing just keeps getting better and better. I cannot even pick out a favorite part because it is all good. The 1st and last stanzas really shine though the brightest for me. This is just plain beautiful. That's the only word I can come up with. I love the title too. Simply divine. Very nice work indeed!
Oh wow. The imagery and literary devices in this were so powerful. Loved every line! But I really loved the last stanza. So very clever while also holding the perspective of another :) Wonderfully written!
Stupendous, Dale. OMG, the imagery in this is phenomenal. I am there....walking the jasmine, clover, and dandelion filled field. Breath taking. This-IMHO-is one of your best. Mission accomplished. You draw your reader in. I can smell the jasmine and am stooping down to look for that four leafed clover. Pure instinct.
I think it's awesome to think about the senses of a blind person in relation to one who sees because as you know, they say their other senses are so much keener.
Absolutely beautiful Dale! It so captures the imagination. I had to read it aloud to get the full effect and felt that I was the one floating through "dandelion dreams". Thanks for a lovely wake up to the smell of fresh nature calling us out of this hectic and artificial world we live in. Truly, nature is a cure!
One little nit - I think you wanted to write "see" instead of "seen".
