Just a raw rant on a topic bothering me bout how trivial our government can be.

 So I must say off the bat I am a big football fan and do love the excitement of college football.  I have long be critical of the B.C.S system.  For those who don't know it is the computerized system used to determine who plays for the national title.  Sure it is not perfect and yes they could probably find a better system... But and this is a big BUT... there has been talk lately of some congressman who would like the government to step in and fix it.  Really???  I mean seriously, Really???  With all the problems this country has right now gee I don't know like the bad economy, soldiers dying overseas over useless wars and the ongoing killings and illegal drugs in this country and some of them feel they need to focus on such a trivial subject.  Hell even if this country had no real problems is this really a place they need to  stick their noses in, is it really that big of a problem. Of coarse not.  I was outraged when they got involved in the steroid situation in baseball, another place they didn't need to be but this.  Hell maybe next they can start making the fall schedule for NBC (God knows they need help) or I don't know write scripts for the WWE.   Okay I am getting a little carried away but it is to make the point of how unbelievably stupid our government is being.   Anyways just wanted to get that off my chest... if you agree or not I'd love to hear what others think.

You've got to be kidding me!!! No, you're not getting carried away- our government has gotten carried away, and that's a grotesque understatement. Before I go on for the next three or four hours, let me just say that it's quite obvious that for quite sometime now, with no change for the better with the last election, that our government officials have forgotten that their role is to run the country and not to run our lives, and that they work for us, we aren't their subordinates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! This is great! I 100% agree that the government wants to stick its 'nose' into things that they have no business sticking their 'noses' into and ignoring the things they should be doing something about, which truth be told, is no where near the amount of stuff they are screwing up right now. They want to control everything in this country! That's not what the government is suppose to be about.

I don't know much about sports but wow... That is completely ridiculous... The government needs to stick to what they are supposed to be doing and actually fix something that needs to be fixed...

I totally agree. The government could be concerning itself with more important matters, such as helping the unemployed obtain jobs in this country, and they should also concern themselves with folks that are losing their homes due to foreclosure. I feel sorry for the homeless I see will driving around the Kalamazoo area to do my shopping. It just makes me want to cry for them especially when I see them rumaging through garbage bins for food. The sight of them makes me want to buy them a cheeseburger from Burger King or McDonald's.

Well, if that's true.......(I need to have everything proven to me becuz I've told so many lies)....then that's the stupiest thing I've ever heard. Yes, I'm sure the WWE is next for government involvement! Yep, our hard tax dollars at work! The absurdity of it all is beyond words.

My husband and I saw that. Weird! I guess we don't have enough going on in this country that they want to meddle in somebody else's problems. Doesn't seem like its the governments problem at all. I think they need to stay out of almost every sport issue. That's up to the colleges to fix. You've got me a little irritated and I'm not even a big college football fan.

This sounds about right. The way things go with our fearless leaders. Fix a system for ball games but don't fix health care, wars, poverty or the economy. Nicely written rant on the way life goes. Excellent job.
