"Do we live in fear or faith?" Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row

Religion uses fear to keep its flock herded, God feeds us love to keep us filled up with faith that nurtures the soul.

This is so true until we truly find the way that God wants us to worship for it is not laced in fear and mystery but in truth and Spirit...I enjoyed this true piece

I can't find truth in something that uses fear to control people...but love, that is a different matter.

Its simplistic style conveys a strong message to the reader. Religion itself is separate from God. Religion is man made where is God is a singular entity. I believe we form our personal relationship with God instead of the systematic, preachings, and rules that the Church creates in their congregation. The first line of your poem alludes to the symbolic references to the sheep who follow blindly onto the band wagon. In the second line, faith is something intangible that is the yoke for those who love God.

Overall, I found the writing itself to be straight forward, and the structure complements the meaning.
