Get Me Off This Monkey's BackA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)What can I say? Sometime I
must question the voices
in my head; wondering
if it is my faith or pain
talking. For they
are twins therefore
they sound the same. Tones… I listen
for answers in the
tone, but wonder
if it is not being distorted by my
peripheral vision. Night… So I look
to the night when my
vision is limited, but am I
being deceived by the fear
of the relentless silence. I feel like
the monkey is trying
to get me off its
back. For… I hear no
evil, so I can’t
answer the call. I see no
evil, that way it
doesn’t exist. I speak no
evil, nor do I
speak up against it. © 2012 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) |
