Seeing The Light Isn't Easy On The Eyes

Seeing The Light Isn't Easy On The Eyes

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Morning fog hides

the dust settling

on a broken mirror

so the people blindly

continue to look

for their reflections.

They were given the gift

of this accident

from somewhere above

yet they still can’t see

that what matters

is the image of the mind

right before their eyes.

The minds blind eye...just a glimpse of truth and it opens wide.
Very good write. :)

Oh, I really, really like this!
"yet they still can’t see
that what matters
is the image of the mind
right before their eyes."

A way of saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people have a skewed view of themselves and have such difficulty seeing their true beauty, that others see. This writing reminded me of that thought.

Amazingly, I love the way you always know to amaze me in such a justice of poetry, with a few words. That's the real art, someday I get shorter too ;) x

This was amazing and very well written. It is amazing what one misses when they cannot truly see.

Some people are in denial when it comes to the truth...to see what is right before their eyes. Minds clouded by the fog. Great write.

I've never really thought of it that way. I've heard things, read things before, but lately everything just seems to amuse me much more. Kind of like a rebirth, you know? Like I just woke up. And waking up to this was certainly delightful. It gave me a lot to think about. A very interesting piece! Thank you for sharing :)

I love the usage of fog here for the accident and the people. It
is so true that people see what they want to see regardless of
what is right in front of them. What they see and feel takes
priority and blinds them to a great deal, but reflections can crack.

A really good poem. The truth can be hidden from us only because we either can't see it or don't want to see it.
