What I Need

There's a place I need to go to, to be myself

I long to go back,
Back to a place,
A place safe for me,
A place I can find comfort and solace in,
For I know that I can never find it within me
Until I can at least see that place-
Even for a second.
If I could catch just catch a glimpse of it

Then I know that I’ve got it-

My cash prize, my reward, my incentive.

This place is my inner peace-

In which I seek solace and comfort,

It’s the place I go to whenever I need

Safety, assurance, security,

And any consolation

That nobody can provide for me.

Physically far, mentally close,

This place will give me everything good and bad,

For this ever-lasting special place

Is called home.
