The happiness flows in me

Making me feel on top of the world.

No words can describe the joy I feel right now,

The pure feeling of bliss in me.

I feel so light-hearted and it feels like

My troubles have all gone.

Alas! I know that this state of mine will be short-lived,

For happiness comes in short doses;

Too much of it, and you're intoxicated.

Happiness in small does, as it is,

Makes one feel drunk,

Imagine what a large dose would do to you.

But now, my friends, I must confess that

My troubles follow me even in my happy state

And I must leave now

To solve them.

An interesting psychological truth is contained here, and I am very pleased that you have discovered it. The vagaries of happiness are so elusive that my own top self-help tip is "you are not supposed to be happy". There's no point chasing it, and expecting to have it will only make you feel worse.
