reminder

now, the type of person

you wanna be isn’t who

you really are (at least not

yet) & you know this when

a face that reminds you of

the one that hurt you most

recently, comes into view---

might be on the big screen,

might be in public,

might be in a magazine, on a

billboard or just passing on

the web---problem is

that all you thought had been

washed away, swept under the

proverbial carpet &

stuffed neath’ the rock out in

the backyard, so that it could

never come back to terrorize

your mind & heart,

now comes echoing back

every time the reminder

pops up.
