my truth palate is as thirsty as f**k

turn my tele on and then flick it right back off

just when you’re ready to give the idiots around you a chance again

they never fail to amaze you with a new fresh scam

i turn my head for a moment to see if i missed anything

stumbling & bumbling to keep my window

wide open

what your dead god always had in mind

complete conquest of that human heart

developed by the same human heart

in the sad attempt at preservation of the

human heart

and that brain so

facile

so deadened and buried

our own creation backfired

and clearly without debate

all of our chosen scapegoats

our gods

with all of their glory authority raining down like napalm on our eyes

not wise

not moral

not decent

not clean & pure

like the billboards still say

those big type-faced lies on the side of the interstates

if our favorite choice fiction characters existed today

they would be homeless crack addicts

twitching schizophrenically

in some sewage ridden back alley

begging everyone that they might see walk by that alley entrance

to listen to their futile

ramblings

and if there was one iota of sensible babble

we’d lock them up in our institution of preference

throwing away the key

because anyone who doesn’t believe in the system at hand

needs to be flushed out

like the maggot filled feces that they are treated as

and flowing

down

down

down

‘neath the cities

roaming with the mole people below

tens of thousands of folks

who have left “civilization” for good

writhing in a

scathing

eternally dark

newness

a self-made blindness

tuning out

and

tuning in

to something else

a postponement

in which the rats and cockroaches await with them

for the final moment of idiocy

when the button is pushed

and the big boom comes

eliminating everyone above

do yourself a favor and get a sturdy umbrella

to keep yourself clean of the ash fall

grab a bar of lava soap

and head for the potholes

someone is ready

directly underneath

your new best friend

who saw it all coming

Author's Note

delapruch
"listen to political leaders and commentators. Suppose they say that the motive for a military action is humanitarian. In itself, that carries no information: virtually every resort to force is justified in those terms, even by the worst monsters -- who may, irrelevantly, even convince themselves of the truth of what they are saying. Hitler, for example, may have believed that he was taking over parts of Czechoslovakia to end ethnic conflict and bring its people the benefits of an advanced civilization, and that he invaded Poland to end the "wild terror" of the Poles. Japanese fascists rampaging in China probably did believe that they were selflessly laboring to create an "earthly paradise" and to protect the suffering population from "Chinese bandits." Even Obama may have believed what he said in his presidential address on March 28 about the humanitarian motives for the Libyan intervention. Same holds of commentators."
