SONNET 1A Poem by delapruchAfter attempting to ceasing the cackling reflection, it stops pretending that it can and cackles in unison. All smartest animals keep free from offspring, For any one human knows they will die, And as life betters with orgy & feast, Only narcissists may bother breeding: Still you, arrogantly, with such dull eyes, Striving to be quintessentially cool Creating bounty where scarcity drives, Alone you’re own foe & mindless tool. Since now it’s you, whose sad life’s surely spent Whose days, numbered, moving toward nothing, Embellish yourself by faking contentment Smoldering & seething in self-loathing. Comfort such people who will never see, Admire their vanity and hate for thee. © 2011 delapruch |
