wishers

wishers

A Poem by delapruch
"

see note for reviewers.

"

there are those non-believers who

really

really

wish

deep down inside

that there was a

“heaven”---

some place that they could go to when it’s all over

which would answer all their questions &

unite them with all their loved ones &

make

everything

just

right &

wouldn’t you know it,

they just can’t quite believe in the garbage that

religion gives them

& they just can’t look themselves in the mirror &

tell themselves that they are

“spiritual” or that their lives are dictated by the

location of stars in the sky & when they

were born....

so

they walk a fine line,

these

wishers

who just can’t

                       let

                            it

                               go

they must be the most tormented of all.
