still the fingers tap along

still the fingers tap along

A Poem by delapruch
"

(we be tapping presently)

"

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

everybody else’s answers just don’t quite compute anymore

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

what they tell you seems like lip service for the weak

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

they say relief will come to those that wait

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

you remember when things seemed oh so much easier

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

maybe something will break (keep saying that it will, keep working that game of pretend)

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along

paint a new picture each day just to say you can still paint

such complexity &

still the fingers tap along.
