neverstopA Poem by delapruch“At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.” Salvador Dalias much as you think you know you are just skimming the very surface & as much as i could possibly imagine, i will never live long enough to even come close enough to shout over the edge of what i could even begin to try & understand--- as the very essence of what it is to be human stares back at us that mirror cannot deny, we know absolutely nothing--- and though one talks of “we,” and then in retrospect, one can question one’s own audacity at even claiming some kind of commonality that can be spoken of, i try & comprehend what it is to try & comprehend, coming back to that very beginning assertion that i try to make sense of more & more each day wherein every single stone that one picks up underneath two more reside & under that there lies an onion, which gets peeled away again, in the eternal effort to come to terms with those around us, with the struggles that may not affect us directly, but which in knowing better we can better our lives as humans.
never stop trying to learn more never stop delving further into the human experience never stop peeling away at your own skin (trying to get at the real you) never stop trying to understand those around you better never stop being open to others inquiring & never ever stop questioning--- keep your curiosity alive no matter what. © 2011 delapruch |
