SPEAK

SPEAK

A Poem by delapruch
"

see note for reviewers.

"

the silent

person

buried

down

in the

corner

stays

there

because

they have

always

been there

comfortable

complacent

content

but then

when their

world is

shaken

not stirred

they twist

in mental

convulsions

until

eventually

their head

explodes.

seems they never learned to SPEAK seems that somewhere along the way someone placed duct tape over their mouths and it’s just been that way ever since

musn’t

those who

know said

silents offer

up the

possibility

that to

SPEAK

not only

allows for

one to

enter into

the

greater

global

conversation

but even

more to

allow one

to breathe

as they never

have before

to state

one’s

opinions

free, loud,

and in the

face of all

who would

rather you

didn’t?

until everyone has spoken, we should not act as if anyone has.
