so close to raking the blade vertical with the vein &

then it comes like a speeding truck

straight for the face &

unadulterated,

pure &

unabashed, in all of its

well deserved

glory,

someone

somewhere else,

inspires---

and the continuation of life remains

and the continuation of life

remains.
