just how long is

long enough?

many say they want to have children &

to see them grow up would be wonderful,

many say they want those children to have children &

to see their grandchildren would be wonderful,

many just want to get by

many just want to make it to the next day without putting a barrel in their mouth---

but as all the choices are relative,

the context is relative, there is no meaning to speak of &

no one to answer to

for “living life to the fullest” or

“pissing it all away,”

it seems that to live a long enough life

is to live just long enough to be able to laugh a huge

wholehearted laugh

at yourself---

for to stop taking yourself so serious

may very well be a first step in the right direction

regardless of whether today is your last day.
