the lonely (good) samaritan

walking

through

life with

nothing

but  

wrinkles

on the

face &

bags

under the

eyes

to show

for it, s/he

wanders

with a

helpful

eye & an

altruistic

heart, with

whom no

one else

gives a bit

of care or

love to---

but s/he

sees fit

to go on

offering

up his/her

abilities to

anyone in

need, for

the sake

of the

fellow

humans

around

him/her &

without

him/her

certainly

the world

would

still turn,

without

him/her,

the rain

would

still fall,

but i’d

hate to

live in

such a

world,

having

never

known

him/her

at all.
