My HeroineA Poem by Baby RicochetFor Lexus
When I was swallowed by consuming grief
from a life I left behind You walked with me into the darkness lurking in my mind You sat with me as I struggled with pain you could never understand From a horrific loss of innocence bled out in the sand You heard the screaming from my wounds when I cried out in my sleep You saw the pain etched in my face from the memories I keep You were there for me to hold onto when I was terrified That life could never be the same from what I justified You gave yourself to me completely When I craved relief I lost myself within your essence A healing for my grief You were there when I got better holding out your hands Beckoning me to come to you To be your loving man You stood by me in my darkest hour A dangerous place to roam So now whenever I see your smile I know I'm finally home My lover my muse my shining star Glowing from within For everything you are to me You're my heroine © 2013 Baby RicochetReviews
