The circus of absurd

Lies and propaganda

Truth a constant blur

You'd better pick a side

Go on up to main street

Wave your protest sign

Every word a misspell 

No i'm not surprised

Yelling into megaphones

shaking fists with rage

The rifle and the crucifix 

The symbols of the age

Taking cues from jesters

and fools up on a stage 

Sling a sack of bullshit

Perpetuate a lie

Create a case on nothing

Conspiracies won't die 

The speaker has an issue

He's shitfaced all the time

I voted for an a*s hat

to avoid the other side

Their fucktard is evil 

Has Satan on his side

I saw it all on fox news

so it can't be verified 

Everyone is sinking

Nowhere left to cling

A very strong piece. I can't help but think of my country being in the same situation. Seeing people doing constant rallies and struggling for justice hurt. Simply because it just shows that the hope for such place is deteriorating instead of improving. The government is powerful and sometimes, we don't have a choice but to let these politicians lead the way out of our lives. Ugh. Frustrating. I enjoyed this poem. It's very well-penned. Great work! :)
