Hello, Is The World Asleep?A Poem by demuremindsHello, hellos in the background tension, on the other side of a cut telephone line, I speak out. But the world still sleeps, heaving the earth in rhythmic snores around the world. It pulsates, beating thumps and bumps musically dancing with cosmic dust. Waning hours ahead of me, I’m still the only one not sleeping, My wondrous soul clasps my body, pleating the seams deep into insomnia, my crania, still ponderous. Inhales of clean air, no morning breath seared, because the whole world snores, ignores, when I speak. © 2012 demuremindsReviews
