Capital Vices

Capital Vices

A Poem by demureminds

Envy
she glowed a forest’s supple,
luminescent lanterns afloat,
in search for him.
Wrath
she reached for a heated throng,
her fiery pair of rubies gleaming,
singing of euphoria,
tempting him with
Lust
so delicately alluring,
beckoning a purr.
Pride
she toddled with him in glory
through eventide heat,
her pompous unraveling dance.
Gluttony
he consumed her
and she him,
lavishly,
in searing musk.
Sloth,
their adrenaline spent
over a span of 7 days,
they slept,
flippant at the luxury sheets.
Greed
she wrapped him
up in satin lace,
and kept him for her own taste.

No problem :)
Intriguing piece speaking of the seven deadly sins. I enjoyed every word; especially the last stanza. Wonderful.
