Uranium-235

Uranium-235

A Poem by demureminds

The aqua evanescent

of your tears

launched over rocky

sediment;

tumultuous wipes,

swipes

of lingering fingers close by,

mourning only simply

for ephemeral cheer.

Your mind overthrown

by a coup d’etat

launched by your own revere;

it’s captain

insufficient to steer

the pure

uranium bombs

from causing

self destruction.

Catatonic elements corrode

your soul

of sweet significant

innocence

and your presence

was left undefined

as one wandering

neutron collided.

How do you phrase such intricate poems on short notice? This is absolutely astonishing.

Thank you!
Where did your inspiration come for this one? I like this piece because the flow is cohesive and you explain the element uranium in a poetic way.
