A Memory Lost

A Memory Lost

A Poem by denise

your taste lingers.
fog stretched out like veins
enveloped me like a thick blanket
where i wanted to find comfort
to disappear
an illustrious lover.
a hopeful forever fairytale
all-consuming
not wanting to forget
a period of peace
a place with sunlight
now dark.
forever lost

Such beautiful sadness in your words. I felt a soft pain as I read them. I really appreciate you for sharing this.
