i'm a little too shy

and you're way to shallow

i liked it so much more when

i was a better storyteller

and i was quicker on my feet

 

long after my guitar

has lost its tune

and every has string has snapped

from these clumsy hands

strumming too hard

 

i think my words were stronger

when i wasn't so precise

 

still hope she hears these songs

knowing i'm better off

were a little less obvious
