Within Me, A Lost Summer.

Within Me, A Lost Summer.

A Poem by gunagya sokal

within me, a lost summer,
i lay under oblivion, thoughtless;
nothingness.
my body, an empty vessel;
pervasive of an infinite spirit.

meandering ways,
hit on the head with a brick, lost
in the grays,
lead me back to when i was happy.
bruises; cover them up with dust;
a lost glory.
get back, oh get back,
come home; astray.

write, run, break a piece of glass;
a glimpse of feeling, where are you?
solace, my known company;
i yearn,
to who i used to be,
the past the only remnants
of memory conceivable.

how happy, happiness naive;
a profound memory, the light under the tunnels
hit my subtle skin, make me break through;

pray, bleeding skin.
