Skeleton Friend

Skeleton Friend

A Poem by S.F

Old shy friend, I have seen you before;
A lonely sad skeleton,
Down in the mouth and spirit.
Let me lend you some, with a
Shoulder or two- let my sandpaper
Words dry you.
You're long gone, a long time alone,
With ghosts and shadows as your friendly dolls.
Let me mend your open wounds;
With needle dull and sting crude,
And lengthy string of acceptance and hope.
Let me heal you sour and scorch the lies.
Let me heal you soft and caress the scars.
Old shy friend, just open the door;
Sooner I'll mirror your bitter bones.

About
I'm Salma and I write poetry. I believe that books are rather eccentric objects. Saviors and weapons at the same time. You see a clump of paper stitched up neatly and when you open it, all you see ar.. more..
