My Last Stand

Very short, but hopefully powerful poem

I'm not on a beach with a drink in my hand

The mud and the gravel all make up my sand

Don't give a damn about money all I need is my land

Give me my people and I'll make my last stand

Those two two lands lack of commas/run-on sentence nature irritates the dickens out of me, lol. But, I like the simplicity of the piece, and the one simple piece of more intense language worked well. Short poems = short reviews. ;)
