What is a man? Though his feet plant his path And his eyes see the fortune of our plane He cannot venture through the greatest of journeys Without a guide
Humankind has a menagerie of spirits Rooted in a single idea: Our god is more powerful than us. But how can that be?
We have created and destroyed, we have sprung So many new ideas from ourselves We have done so much for such a small and Insignificant race What can our Great Provider be but proud
Look around you Stare at the bowels of the Earth Gaze at the infinities of the stars Fire. Color. Void. Entities filled with far more knowledge than you. Does it scare you? Not I.
Had I the opportunity I would bow before them Reverent of their travels through the universe The wonders they have seen... If we let ourselves be enraptured The void would no longer be feared But a wellspring of knowledge and hope A home Our home
Our souls The frequencies of our being Is not separated from that We divide our souls from ourselves The ego and outer self bar the soul within If we let ourselves be free We can truly ascend And we will be happy. At peace. At home.
For dying is not truly death, But a realization of a new soul Ready to become a God.
I love the theme and agree with it; it is very deep Emily and oh so interesting. This was filled with so much wisdom and philosophy, but your stance on life everlasting and : For dying is not truly death, But a realization of a new soul - Ready to become a God. So profound. When you talk about ego and the outer self, I love it too; we all need to stop when we feel negative emotions/anger, fear, etc. and realize, that's not who we are at all. I hope I'm understanding. Thank you. Dale

You are understanding this more than I did when I first wrote it. :) Thank you so much!

You are welcome. Love your writing as always. Y/W & T/Y too!
Interesting concept, we are debased to our animalistic nature then driven to our full potential by our faith in the belief of a higher being and our hopes to one day stand face to face as one with said deity. You could say this is the meaning to life, bravo! But I think you have it mistitled, you have one line that says it all (We can truly ascend) :~)
