State

State

A Poem by diggydigs

My body aches
I must scream and wept
I do not
Instead, I am awake
Wallowing in a far distance,
In a lonely place I only know
In a state the poets called "Lonely"
I whisper to the ground to eat me whole
It does not
I whisper to the seas to drown me in
It does not
I whisper to the night to consume me
It does not

I keep walking
Where do I take this?
I could've wept,
Instead,
I am alive
