UNWRITTEN LINES IN MY NOTEBOOKA Poem by Dilara Pinar ARIÇUnwrittenI opened a page in my notebook For a small quatrain Perhaps small Perhaps bad Perhaps these lines are roughly written But they tell the stories trapped in my heart My hidden story It's a bittersweet love story This one playing hide-and-seek The ending is not yet written The lovers have not yet reunited in this tale There are still blank pages Waiting hopefully to be written And there is my little girl in this story Running from place to place Trying to find a beautiful toy And there is my beautiful Istanbul Warm like the tea I drink on the Golden Horn ferry And there is my history Behind dusty books And there is my homeland To which I am bound with endless love And there is my never-tiring pen And there is my love that I still haven't attained
