My Angel

For a dear friend of mine.

She is the angel in my nightmares,
the winged seraph whom I love.

She plays my heart like a lyre,
the winged seraph whom I love.

She knows not the way I feel,
the winged seraph whom I love.

She brings peace to my chaotic mind,
the winged seraph whom I love.

She stays nestled in my heart forever,
the winged seraph whom I love.

I love this so much, Dillon. So much thought put into this poem. You're right--love is the foundation on which we build our lives. There are peaks in our lives that love sometimes either makes us stronger or break us into small fragments of glass. Our hearts are most compared to glass, since it's fragile. Whenever it becomes broken, it takes a very long time to repair its self. Though, when we do find the right person, our heart reboots 100 percent until it's whole again. The only reason that there's so much heartache and harsh break-ups in the world is because people find the wrong people to fall in love with. If you find the right person, you will only see the bright side of love. I do think some people overuse the word. There are even little 5th graders having boyfriends and sharing those three special words. It has gotten to the point that it has lost its powerful message behind it. Sorry, I tend to ramble on and on about this topic. Haha! You done a wonderful job indeed. Your words flow perfectly and touches the heart with such bliss. :)
