I wish

I wish

A Poem by Gerhardus Retief

I wish I had your denying sense of humor.
To block out all vulnerability from the price of the fight.
Let lay waste upon our lands of happiness to cover the past.
Last sound first touch final feeling in the infusion.
Yet I can't seem to ever want it to live with myself.

I wish I had your ways of hurt.
They are indeed so much higher than hope.
Clawing anything down to crush through the lightning barrier in your whispers.
With pleasure with oblivion the sire still unites the fallen.
Yet I can't find the need for tolerability.

I wish I had your childhood days to be driven into this.
Let blame send it's quiver of arrows toward our parents.
Emotional tor nation to physical damage can drive you off the softest of dust.
Blessed be faint hearted thee how is that you have lost to the darkness?
Yet I am thankful that you are still live even in corruption.

I wish you a happy ending one day.
Sinister sanctuary for you if you tip your toes into the light.
Fairytale twilight as a definition of defense toward a nightmare.
Never surrender and you will never be overcome by the times of forgiveness.
Yet the impossible is almost always the first to the finish line.
