A scrap of new nursery rhyme that drifted into my head in the night.

Pudding in the Pot

 

We may not have a leg of beef,

And white cakes, we have not;

But never fear, we’ve always broth

And pudding in the pot.

the soup and pudding are often described as comfort foods which we want to eat especially in bad moments because it can help uplift the spirit too. I like how you incorporate nursery rhymes in your writing, your imagination and creativity are simply amazing

Thanks, Sette! I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the compliment. Yes, modernly, soup and pudding are comfort foods. They used to be stables of the common diet, and its those I refer to in the rhyme. :)
