How I Wonder

This is a poem of romance. For it is a time of discovery and adventure. For you never know what journey love will take you.

How I wonder,
what life will be,
with you standing,
next to me.

 

Are you an angel,
sent down,
to set my soul on fire,
with the desire to be.

To turn my life upside down,
and spin me around,
with a simple glance,
and a slight smile.

For you are the beauty,
that I truly need,
to make my life complete,
and to truly see.

I see the fire that grows inside,
bringing closer,
to your desires,
the fire that shines through those eyes.

I am drawn to you,
like a month to a flame,
but I am really to burn,
to win your heart through all the pain.

For my soul burns to hold you truly,
in an eternal embrace,
forever and a day,
to keep you safe in every way.

Life everlasting,
is not long enough,
to have you in my arms,
every day from dawn to dusk.

To look into those beautiful eyes,
and see the beauty,
of your soul inside,
make me cry.

To be with you now,
until the end of time,
 then loving you,
with my whole heart.

For I see you,

as you are truly meant to be,

in my life,

and in my heart.

 

And you set me on the path,

that I was meant to go,

in this endless journey,

through life and beyond.

 

My life is yours for the taking,

for without you,

I am nothing,

but a dream in real life.

 

For that is the drama of life,

as one act ends,

another begins,

until the end of the play.
