My Soul is Shattered

My Soul is Shattered

A Poem by Donald
"

It's about lost hope and faith

"
My Soul is Fractured

My soul is fractured,
torn and tattered,
lost to all reason,
is this treason.

Left with no place to go,
up to heaven,
or down a hole,
what will be my final toll.

Am I meant for greater things,
like great battles,
to become king,
greater love that makes me sing.

I crave none of these things,
I long for love,
and what it brings,
not for gold or anything.

Love is the master,
I am it’s slave,
looking for a life,
that I truly crave.

Am I destined for the grave,
for what I crave,
or living a lie,
waiting to be saved.

Life is never easy,
living alone,
is it time to atone,
before going home.

I have no heart of stone,
by living alone,
just a heart full of desire,
wanting it to go higher.

To have love one more time,
to hear those chimes,
for wedding bells to ring,
we must sing.

To sing his praises,
to have him amaze us,
if it’s God’s will,
we will embrace still.
