A deadly Ying and yang

A deadly Ying and yang

A Poem by D. Mansfield
"

Self observation, looking back on a lifelong addiction problem. Mayhem chaos, lasting pain inflicted on the people that loved you , a selfishness with an appetite that could never be satisfied.

"
The same poison you sought to heal your adled brain,
Became life's elixer, and it's sorrow and pain.
Life became a double edged Ying and Yang.
As you spent all your time. Trying to make the poison flash and bang.

All around you, you left wreckage,
Those that loved you, crumpled in pain,
As you climbed back on that horse,
Just knowing you could ride again.
In a crumpled filthy heap, is were you landed, time and ti.e again,
Never even stopping to thank those people that loved you ,through thick and thin.
