Dear Soulmate

Dear Soulmate

A Poem by Shadin Manning

Dear Soulmate,

I want us to love each other, flaws and all

I don't want us to feel uncomfortable around each other completely naked

I want us to be able to use the restroom in front of each other

I want us to be able to act like complete kids when we're together...

And not feel ashamed about it

I want us to be able to finish each others' sentences

I want us to be able to brighten each others' day just by seeing each others' face

I want us to hold no secrets, even if it hurts

I want us to argue from time to time, it's healthy

I want us to be able to burp and fart in front of each other without having to excuse ourselves

I want us to be able to talk about difficult subjects, without feeling ashamed or embarrassed

I want us to be able to look at each other and say "Damn you sexy"

I don't want us to see each other everyday, I want to give us time to miss each other

I don't want us to be perfect, I want us both to know that perfect does not exist

I want us to be able to lean on each other when we need to

I want our kiss to be to be rocket, sending us to a different world

And I hope one day we'll find each other, because I'm waiting for that day.
