Broken Record

wonderful thoughts my step dad puts into my head

His words play like a broken record through my thoughts
"If a guy really likes a girl,
nothing will keep him from dating her."
No problems in his life
No issues he’s working through
"If he likes her that way
He will want her."

 

He forces his theory into my mind
"The guy likes another girl
and is simply stinging you along in the mean time."

 

As much as I hope he is wrong
As much as I want to hate him so i don't get hurt
As much as I want things to be like they were that night
And as much as i don't quite believe it
There is always that one part of me that is scared he is right.
