Left you behind

The door is unlocked, but you can't get in.
The phone is ringing, but i can't hear anything.
The roads are unwinding, but your not passing me by.
The signs are visible, but im saying goodbye.

                      I need something
              to smash
                   or
                                    someone to hold.
                                    

                               I want
                                   something more
                      and
                              someone less cold.

Climbing mountains and picking up iced over fragments.
Shifting paths and riding along.
Adjusting clouds and picking out splinters.
Flickering lights and writing wrong.
