By Avoiding

By Avoiding

A Poem by Lottie

Skipping steps and jumping shadows
by avoiding
the fall upon the sun.
Tip toeing and balancing footsteps
by avoiding
that edge of the surface undone.

Now you couldn't make out what they meant,
for life was  just so.
The plotting heavens were pity laughing
and playing out the word no.

For you were wary,
but lost focus afar into the mist.
Oh how they worked away on you
and wrote out your regret list.

Speeding voices and blanking faces
by avoiding
the reason to come.
Miming words and withheld breath
by avoiding
that echo of the gone

When i read this poem. I pictured someone struggling, and every time this person would try to tip toe their way up. something would put him back. That just what i pictured, but anyway great write.
