Alive?

this is a poem I wrote while in my math class. >-o tell me what you think?

When you look at me,

What do you see?

Do you see a person?

Someone that you would want to be?

Or do you see

An empty shell,

A weak shadow of what I used to be?

Do soulful eyes

That seem so alive

Stare back at you?

Or do tearful sighs

And ghostly lies

Look out at you?

From my mouth

Do joyous sounds unfold?

Or do you hear

Mournful wails filled with scorn?

Am I a ghost

Who’s heart is torn?

Or am I alive?

You decide.
