Lost Soul

Lost Soul

A Poem by Dozzer
"

One of the last things I shall say to her.

"

The last I saw her face I knew,
I couldn't let her leave my side.
Went away and fled to you,
and now I weep for my sorrowing pride.

That day stands still in my mind;
tomorrow can't come true.
I sit and wait in the darkness twined,
for her whisper, long overdue.

Today is my darkest now,
I've fallen down again.
Can't reach the edge, you've pulled away
everything that's anew.

Ran away, to his arms
forgetting who you trust.
Poison dripped from your charms,
a defeated man, I am a bust.

In the end the oracle will read
from the timeless scroll,
And the words shall bleed
you are my lost soul.
