Secondary Silence (2005)A Poem by drak(drawing by me)
Those words… they struck me like ice. I was swept away by a cool winter’s chill. A preposterous uttering that escaped your subtle lips " Agitated my undulating blood I’ve been searching for something far from my grasp Yet, I refrained from being subjugated to its folly Never could I comprehend its meager motives " Oh how I hated " How I hated the reactions " Those enlightened faces from a statement so trivial They are only words " just words Never would they be expressed towards me Away I was, always drifting further The void never dissipated Still, I continued to gaze at that something never yearned for
And then the crashing waves began to caress The light gaped from the horizon There are some whispers that cannot be forgotten Even a broken mirror reveals a new reflection From now on, I won’t be searching beyond the sea All along, it was standing before my presence I finally see the radiance because of Those words… you spoke " to me "
